Approximately 10 minutes before your appointment, you should receive an email appointment reminder. Click the unique link embedded in the reminder. Your video call screen will now open in a new internet browser tab. When you are ready, click “Join Video Call.”

What should I do if I am experiencing problems connecting to the session?

Are telehealth sessions covered by insurance?
Many health insurance plans cover telepsychology sessions, and reimburse at the same rate as face-to-face sessions. A modifier code (95) is just added to the normal session procedure code (e.g., 90837-95). The best way to find out for sure is to call your insurance plan’s benefits hotline (found on the back of your insurance card) and ask how payment and reimbursement work for CPT Code 90837-95.
Are telehealth sessions secure?
I use a videoconferencing platform that employs military-grade encryption and has been rated as 100% HIPAA compliant. And video/audio from online appointments are never recorded or stored. So, yes! I would, however, recommend finding a part of your home where others cannot listen in to the conversation. And turn off smart speakers, like Amazon Echo and Google Home.
